The leased from Travel Service Boeing 737-800 OK-TSA flew the first of three planned Jet2 Arrecife rotations over the Christmas/New Year period at lunch-time today - looking not too dissimilar from the leased-in Titan Airways Airbus A.320 that was based here during the summer - an aeroplane which had visited us previously on a number of occasions as TC-APH of Pegasus Airlines, the last time on 29th September 2005. Jet2 Boeing 737-800s last appeared here during 2012, two aircraft making six landings for a variety of reasons (u/s aircraft substitutions, football charters and fuel-stops from/to Glasgow), however significantly these flights represent the first Jet2 scheduled services at Newcastle Airport to be programmed as a Boeing 737-800 'op'.
