Many locals will have caught a glimpse of a unique shape and sound in the skies above Newcastle today (and one of the slowest aeroplanes they are ever likely to see !), as the Lufthansa Junkers Ju-52 D-CDLH 'D-AQUI' flew a series of pleasure flights from Newcastle Airport. This series of shots shows the magnificently evocative machine resting between sorties this afternoon.
