CHAMPION'S LEAGUE SPECIAL PART 1
Thursday 19th September 2002 - By Andy Hutchings

Newcastle United's first game of the six they will play in the first stage of the Champion's League, an away fixture against Dynamo Kiev, failed to produce too much of interest at Newcastle Airport, although Ukrainian-registered aircraft are always welcome. The team departed Newcastle Airport on Monday on a Channel Express Boeing 737-300 with supporter's following on this Khors Air MD.83 UR-CAN early on Wednesday morning. The aircraft is seen here returning this evening, while also shown here is what brought the team back this lunch-time, only the second British Midland Airways Airbus A.321 to visit Newcastle, G-MIDI.
